British Cinema has never been this bright before! Infinita Productions has partnered with DMovies for a third year in order to bring 10 British movies to the impressive Homestead Cafe of Beckenham Place Park, in South East London. The setting is genuinely cinematographic: we erect a giant outdoor screen of 9x7 metres inside the gorgeous walled patio of the Cafe, located at the heart of the plush and vibrant Park.
Guests will be comfortably seated on our luxury chairs to enjoy the movies. The event takes place every Friday and Saturday night from June 30th to July 29th. Book your tickets now and get an early bird discount. Concessions and group tables are also available.
And by the way: all our screenings are dog-friendly. Your furry friends and family are just as welcome as you are!
The programme is supported by Film Hub London, managed by Film London. Proud to partner with the BFI Film Audience Network, funded by the National Lottery.
Sunset Screening Sessions is a partnership between Infinita Productions and DMovies, exhibiting films across the British capital since 2017. We aim to provide Londoners with an undeniably British and diverse open-air cinema. Other open-air events across the country tend to focus primarily on mainstream film.
Sunset Screening Sessions celebrate three glorious years in 2023. From our beginning in 2021, we returned in 2022, when we showcased ten equally exciting and diverse British films. In other words, 10 British movies that shine! We have become firmly established in the capital's event calendar. We return with an new film selection every summer whilst retaining our British identity.
Diversity is the central pillar to our film selection. Our 10 films paint a colourful and culturally vibrant picture of Britain. They include comedy, suspense, romance, LGBT, Black, animation, arthouse and archive cinema and more, dating from 1928 to the present day.
Highlights this year include Brick Lane (Sarah Gavron, 2007), Chicken Run (Peter Lord/ Nick Park, 2000), Four Weddings and a Funeral (Mike Newell, 1994), and Alfred Hitchcock's classic The Lady Vanishes (1938).
Our movies have a very local flavour: almost every single one of hour 10 films takes place either partly on entirely in London!
